Our Story

We started Myrtle Palms Vacation Rentals in 2018, after falling in love with North Myrtle Beach and its beautiful surroundings. We wanted to share our passion for this place with others, and help them discover its charm and attractions. We have been visiting North Myrtle Beach for over 20 years, and we know the area well. We can recommend the best restaurants, shops, entertainment venues, and activities for you and your family.

We also have a personal connection to each of our properties. We have stayed in them ourselves, decorated them with care, and maintained them with high standards. We treat them as our home away from home, and we want you to feel the same way.

How We Got Here

Originally from New Jersey, owners Rich & Anna Jacoby came to Myrtle Beach eight years ago to get away from the long cold winters of the north and live a slower paced lifestyle. There working experience was in the Auto Industry and they also owned a part-time cleaning business. When it came time for job hunting that became a difficult task. Rich tried the Real Estate and Timeshare market and Anna tried the mortgage business but due to timing these jobs never paid off. Anna got a retail job working for one of the largest retail stores here in the south and continues to work for them.

Rich got back in the Auto business working for a Dodge dealer as a Parts Manager. After working for them for one year then had new management come in and Rich lost his job. Left unemployed Rich was in search for a new job and landed a Service Managers position once again with a Chrysler dealer. After working for one year, they also had a management change and Rich was let go. By this time Rich was fed up with the auto industry and felt it was time to go down new avenues. He decided that this would be a great place to start up our cleaning business and property management living in a resort vacation area. Rich began talking about the business to everyone he came in contact with friends, neighbors, strangers. It didn’t matter who they were or where he was he wanted to get the word out of what we were going to do. Getting your name out there pays off.
